Instagram is taking away your photo maps

Instagram is an online mobile photo-sharing, video-sharing, and social networking service that lets its users to take pictures and videos, and share them either publicly or privately on the app, as well as through other social networking apps, such as Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and Flickr

Videos on Instagram debuted with a 640×640 fixed resolution and maximum 15-second limit in June 2013.Resolutions now include up to 1080p since July 2015 and length is now up to 60 seconds since January 2016.

Instagram was created by Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger. Launched in October 2010 as a free mobile app.

Number Of Users in April 2012 : 100 million

Number Of Users in December 2014 : 300 million

Available On: Apple App Store and Google Play.

Instagram has begun to kill its photo map feature.

For some users the company has already started removing the feature

Photo Map was not widely used, so we’ve decided to remove the feature and focus on other priorities,” the company said in a statement.

Now the company is focusing on Instagram Stories

Geotags for locations are still appearing.

But when you go to someone else’s profile, there will no longer be a separate tab to view all their geo-tagged photos on a world map.

Instagram hadn’t updated information about photo maps in its help pages.
