So you thought whatsapp was the best chatting app right.
Google’s new chat app called “Allo” will change your thinking.
Let’s get the basics clear 🙂
Allo (pronounced like “Aloe” and not like “‘allo, guv’nor!”)
Interface is so clean and easy that even a child can understand. Phewww!
You sign up with your phone number and you can connect your Google account
Amit Fulay, group product manager on Google’s communications products team, says that, “Google commissioned stickers from artists with an eye toward ensuring there was a wide diversity of options — stuff that would work in India, as well as in America”
Okeyy lets see what Allo has in store us
1. Smart Replies
If someone sends you a photo of a beautiful girl wearing a very classy dress. Then Allo will puts some suggested replies like “Very Beautiful”, “Very Classy and Cute” an so on.The app is able to interpret the girl’s photo and come up with nice replies that would definetly help you 😛
2.Google Assistant
You might be thinking that this is not enough for me to switch to Allo from WhatsApp.
Google assistant is what will pull the users to this app..You can do amazing things with it along with getting information from google.Just like SIRI in iPhone.
3. WhisperShout
While sending a photo, you can doodle on.
Also before you hit send, you can drag your finger up or down on the button to enlarge or shrink the text.
Google calls it “WhisperShout”
4.Google’s chatbot
You can set up a conversation with @google and ask it all sorts of creepy questions.
The first phrase that i asked the bot was “Prajwal Shetty Techonol”, and it directed me to my website.
And Google’s chatbot is smarter than other chatbots. It has the power of Google’s Knowledge Graph, which understands many thousands of “entities” and how they relate to each other. So you can ask more complicated questions that couldn’t be resolved just by crawling the web.
5.Gaming
And if you get bored, you can ask @google to start a game that you wish like guess the movie.
6.Your Privacy
All conversations are encrypted “on the wire,” which means that nobody on the internet can read them as you send your message. They are read by Google’s servers, but the data is stored “transiently,” which is to say that Google doesn’t keep your chat logs.
7.Incognito Mode
Wait there’s still more and something that we love to use while browsing things that we like and don’t want other’s to see, yeah the Incognito Mode — similar to Incognito Mode on Chrome. When you enable it, your conversation is encrypted end-to-end and Google can’t read it at all.
Also notifications from Incognito chats don’t reveal their contents on your lock screen.
Improvements To Allo
One improvement that i would like to give google is to add a feature that would transfer all my chat history from WhatsApp to Allo (Because i love my chat history 🙂 )
